In conjunction with the Celebration of the 70th Platinum Jubilee of Formal Religious Education in Brunei Darussalam, the Department of Islamic Studies organised a Futsal Tournament. The event was held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex, 28th June afternoon.

The prize was presented by Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. 30 teams from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and higher learning institutions participated in the tournament. The event was also enlivened by the Mahabbah Futsal Match between the team of senior officers of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah against the team of officers of the Islamic Studies Department.
